INFRATEK's Lead (Pb)-Free Program |
 |
Committed to Achieving Lead-free and RoHS Compatibility
Infratek AG recognices the need to ensure that all products manufactured from
Infratek are designed lead-free and are fully RoHS compatible.
On January 27, 2003, the European Union (EC) passed the "Restriction on Use of
Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronical Equipment" or RoHS legislation 2002/95/EC,
which becomes effective July 1st, 2006. Infratek recognizes that customers require early
availability of Pb-free products and Infratek has set a schedule for Pb-free conversion in response
to customer's needs, targeting to have the majority of Infratek products Pb-free by the end of 2005.
Infratek AG is well on its way to full RoHS compatibility. Small amounts of lead have been commonly
used in integrated circuits for many years. During the last years, Infratek began to convert its products
to lead-free alternatives.
Infratek's Suppliers
Infratek has surveyed its base of key suppliers and is now monitoring their performance in
achieving lead-free and RoHS compatibility.
